Dawsonville Vet Medical Records Services
Your pet has it’s own personal health record which is kept up-to-date in our computer system. It contains a complete medical and surgical history of your pet and is an important guide for present and future veterinary care. In case your pet has an emergency out of the area we can fax or email our records to the attending veterinarian at your request. We also offer online record retrieval for our clients in case there is an emergency and we are not open.
How to Request Your Pet’s Medical Records
A simple call is often all it takes to gain access to your pet’s personal records. We may ask you to confirm some information to make sure you’re the owner of our furry patient on file. We have a person on staff available to take calls on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 7AM to 6PM, Tuesday and Thursday from 7AM to 7PM, and we are closed on weekends. If you send us an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with a request to record access, we will get back with you in a timely manner. You can also access some of your pets’ records through our Pet Portal. The Pet Portal can be found under the ‘Make An Appointment” tab on our home page. Our Pet Portal is also available as an app for your phone – the Pet Health app.
What Information To Look For in Your Pet’s Medical Records
Some important things to keep track of would be yearly occurrences like vaccinations and physical exams. You don’t want to be overdue for a rabies vaccine or heartworm test. It’s also a good idea to be aware of the timing of past issues with your pet. What may look like an illness could just be seasonal allergies. Being on top of your pet’s special needs can help you take steps to prevent an unneeded veterinary visit. You can always talk to one of our customer care representatives to schedule a convenient appointment time for your pet.
