Edward L. Holton, DVM
Dr. Edward Holton was born in Washington, Georgia and raised in Evans, Georgia. He has lived in the Dawson-Cumming area for the last 28 years. He graduated from UGA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture in 1985 and received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 1994. Dr. Holton has practiced veterinary medicine in the North Georgia area since graduating in 1994 and established his own veterinary practice in Dawsonville in 1997.
On his time off he enjoys spending time with his wife; Patty and their twin teenage sons; James and Matthew. They have 4 dogs at home: Meghan (hound mix); Trouble (shepherd mix); Michelle (English Bulldog) and Buster (Pointer). Dr. Holton and his sons have also begun raising Jersey Dairy Cows and are the proud owners of H2 Jersey Farms where they enjoy caring for their ‘prized’ show cows as a family.
Dr. Holton’s favorite part of practicing veterinary medicine is that he is able to be the ‘family doctor’ for your pet and gets to know your family as well. Dr. Holton is very diverse in his knowledge of species and is able to treat and perform surgery on small animals as well as large farm animals and even a few exotics. Dr. Holton takes great pride in his community and the services he provides by having a veterinary hospital staffed with highly qualified personnel and state of the art medical equipment.
Dana Croy, DVM
Dr. Dana Croy is a 2010 graduate from the University of Georgia. While originally from South Carolina, she has lived here in Georgia with her husband for the last 6 years. She enjoys small animal medicine, surgery, and dentistry. Dr. Croy has a dog and two cats as well as chickens. In her free time, she enjoys being outside gardening, hiking, and beekeeping.
Tiffany started her career while in High school, where she spent 14 years at an animal hospital in Atlanta. She now lives in Forsyth county with her husband Brian and their sons Parker and Cooper. They have 2 dogs Paco and Grace. Tiffany spends most of her time being mommy. She enjoys baseball, camping & cooking.
Becca is a student at the University of North Georgia. She is currently studying biology with hopes of going to the University of Georgia for vet school after graduation. She has been with our team since 2014. She has six cats and one dog named Waddles.
Tessa is a registered veterinary technician with an expansive knowledge about many different types of animals. She became a registered tech in 2014 and has worked at AAHA accredited hospitals in Las Vegas. She enjoys assisting with surgery and interacting with all of our patients.
James is a freshman at the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. He is majoring in dairy science. He plans on being active in Collegiate FFA, the Dairy Science Club, Dairy Show Team, and Dairy Judging Team. Currently, James co-owns a small dairy in Dawsonville milking a small number of registered Jersey Cattle. Once obtaining his degree in Dairy Science, James plans to attend the University Of Georgia College Of Veterinary Medicine, with the ultimate goal of becoming a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his cows or with friends. James has been around the clinic since he was a baby; however he began working summer 2015.
Matt Holton is going to be a freshman at the University of Georgia in the fall. He plans on studying Dairy Science, and attending Veterinary School at the University of Georgia in the future. Matt graduated from Dawson County High School this spring as an Honor Graduate; he was also in the Top Ten of his class. His passion is for agriculture and dairy cattle. Matt, his twin brother, James, and father, Dr. Holton run a Jersey Dairy Farm called, H² Jersey Farm. He enjoys spending time with friends and family, showing dairy cattle, hanging out on Lake Lanier, and watching sports.
Mary has been with our team since 2015. She is originally from New York but moved to Georgia when she started college. Mary has always wanted to work with animals and she finally got the opportunity to do so in 2008. She loves all animals and enjoys spending time with her cats and dog, ‘Porsche’.
Sue is originally from Pennsylvania but moved to Georgia in 2016. Her love of animals brought her to our team in 2018. She has spent a lot of time volunteering at animal shelters both in Pennsylvania and Georgia. In her free time she enjoys boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, and gardening. She also loves spending time with her son, cat, and 2 dogs.
